Privacy Policy

1. About this extension

This Privacy Policy applies to the “Crypto Tools & Alert” Chrome extension and its landing page. The extension is designed to be free, ad-free and tracking-free. This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Binance.

2. No account access, no API keys

The extension does not require your Binance login, API key, secret key, or any form of account access. It only works with public market data and local settings inside your browser.

3. What we do NOT collect

When you use the extension, we do not:

collect your name, e-mail address, or password

collect or store your Binance account data or balances

track your browsing history or the websites you visit

run third-party analytics scripts inside the extension

display ads or inject advertising code

4. What data is stored locally

The extension stores your settings locally in your browser and in Chrome Sync (if enabled).

This may include, for example:

enabled symbols, presets and layouts

alert configurations (Price, Auto, Custom rules)

Forecast profiles and thresholds

UI preferences (Spot/Futures toggles, columns, sounds)

This data is stored using Chrome’s built-in storage mechanisms (chrome.storage.local and/or chrome.storage.sync), not on our own server.

You can clear this data at any time by resetting the extension’s settings or uninstalling the extension.

5. Network requests and third-party services

To function, the extension makes HTTP(S) requests from your browser directly to public data sources, such as:

Binance public market data endpoints

public ETF flow summaries (e.g. Farside)

crypto news RSS feeds (CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, etc.)

These requests are made from your browser, not from our own server.

As with any web request, these third-party sites may see your IP address and basic technical information (e.g. browser type), according to their own privacy policies. We do not add any extra identifiers or tracking parameters to these requests.

6. Error handling and logs

The extension may handle errors locally (for example, by showing a message when a data source is unavailable), but it does not send your personal data to a separate logging server run by us.

If we ever add optional remote error reporting, it will be clearly marked as opt-in and documented here.

7. Donations

If you choose to support development via donation (for example through “Buy me a coffee” or crypto tips), the payment is processed by those external services, not by this extension. Any personal or payment data you provide there is handled under their own privacy policies.

On our side, we do not link donations to your extension usage.

The optional PULSX community support token is not required to use the extension and does not provide access to user data, browser data, or extension functionality.

8. Your choices

You can:

uninstall the extension at any time from your browser

reset or clear the extension’s settings from within the options

control Chrome Sync behavior from your browser’s settings

If you have questions about how data is handled in the extension, you can contact us at: info@cryptotools.hu

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the extension evolves or if legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If the changes are significant, we may also highlight them on the landing page or in the release notes.

10. Not legal advice

This page is intended to transparently describe how the extension handles data, but it is not formal legal advice. If you have specific legal requirements, please consult a qualified legal professional.
